Managing Attorney

Krystal, the firm's founder and Managing Attorney, is a seventh-generation native Texan and direct descendant of "Austin's Old 300."   She has nearly two decades of combined experience in banking, real property law and advising on general corporate and transactional matters locally and across the United States.  Her roots in Texas go back to 1824, before Texas declared its independence from Mexico, when Krystal's 5th and 6th great-grandfathers, Daniel and Moses Shipman, settled their families in areas that are now Austin County and Fort Bend County.  

Krystal is originally from Katy, Texas and relocated to the Texas hill country with her family in 2023.  Krystal distinguishes herself from other attorneys in her field by her passion for real estate, her approachability, and her clear, concise and practical advice.  She connects deeply with clients and feels personally invested in their success.  She’s keenly aware that businesses require sound legal advice while fostering business relationships and moving transactions forward to meet deadlines and, ultimately, close deals.   

Krystal has served as counsel to a Texas based financial institution; a global real estate developer, investor and manager; a national single-family rental management company; as well as multiple privately held businesses and individuals on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, landlord/tenant matters and property management of all sizes and property types.
